Researchers link doughnuts and starchy foods to cancer; we all cry

We all know doughnuts, cookies, french fries, potato chips, cakes and assorted other high-carb foods are bad for our waistlines and backsides, but now researchers are adding insult to injury by saying these feel-foods may also cause cancer, specifically endometrial cancer in women.

The findings come from the folks at the American Institute for Cancer Research and the World Cancer Research Fund International. So, just to echo what doctors have been saying for decades, you could avoid the cancer by exercising at least 30 minutes a day and maintain a healthy body weight.

Just to give you a little good news though, these same researchers also said moderate consumption of coffee may protect against this type of cancer in women.
