Survey says passengers are less likely to trust female pilots

We all know women don't make as much as men for doing the same job, and some contend women are often passed over for promotions in favor of men, but this new survey really adds insult to that injury.

A United Kingdom travel agency surveyed airline passengers and found that 51% would be less likely to "trust" a female pilot. 32% believed male pilots were more skilled than women and 28% said women pilots wouldn't handle the pressure as well as men.

Of course, these ridiculous stereotypes are not based at all on fact, as every single commercial pilot must be licensed and entirely qualified to operate a big plane. However, it might be worth noting that only 5% of those donning the wings at the highest level are women. Ladies, perhaps that's a career for you to consider?
