UPDATE: Officer killed in shootout with who they believe is ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner

The LAPD believe it to be renegade ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner who is barricaded in southern California cabin, and has been exchanging gunfire with police.

The encounter came after authorities found a vehicle believed to have been stolen by Dorner, who fled into a forest and into the cabin.
