First there was the war on Christmas, and now there’s a jihad on that most sacred of holidays: Mother’s Day. But don’t fret. It’s happening only in Canada. Astral Drive Elementary School in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, will stop celebrating Mother’s and Father’s Day, out of respect for kids who “lost their mom or are in a family without a dad or in a family with two moms or two dads.” Instead, they will recognize the International Day of Families (May 15). Some will call this a sensitive gesture to help kids avoid stigma. Others will say it’s political correctness gone mad, and the beginning of the end for Western civilization
