You may not be aware, but this is my third go-round at Muskegon Radio. A couple years back, I was the morning show host for the now defunct Star 108. They gave that frequency to our friends at WMUS, About 25 years or so prior to that I got my start in professional radio for an AM/FM combo which no longer exists either. (Man I must be old) Anyway, I'm back again and ready to deliver you a steady dose of your favorite rock-n-roll along with some information you can use and maybe even a grin or two. Take care and thanks for listening!
Imagine your 17-year-old kid going off to the prom and coming home with a commemorative shot glass: That was the scenario faced by parents at Jerome High School in Jerome, Idaho, where a bunch of "sneaky" students ordered the glasses, labeled as "mugs" on a school purchase order, for the dance. Parents were displeased. "To me, it seems like they are encouraging students who are not old enough to drink," one said. For their part, administrators promised that the student group running the prom would never again have access to the school's purchase ordering process.
