You may not be aware, but this is my third go-round at Muskegon Radio. A couple years back, I was the morning show host for the now defunct Star 108. They gave that frequency to our friends at WMUS, About 25 years or so prior to that I got my start in professional radio for an AM/FM combo which no longer exists either. (Man I must be old) Anyway, I'm back again and ready to deliver you a steady dose of your favorite rock-n-roll along with some information you can use and maybe even a grin or two. Take care and thanks for listening!
A homeless man named James likes to turn his panhandling forays in Austin, Texas, into street theater. He staged a little experiment by laying out nine bowls labeled by faith (or lack thereof) and holding a sign asking, "Which religion cares the most about the homeless?" The early returns, as posted to Reddit: The atheists are winning, just as they did in a more scientific poll. There are dollar bills in the atheist, agnostic and Buddhist bowls; the Jewish and Hindu bowls are nearly empty. James' analysis: "The atheists seem very competitive. For them, it's all about the competition." Maybe it's time to redefine the notion of Christian giving.
