You may not be aware, but this is my third go-round at Muskegon Radio. A couple years back, I was the morning show host for the now defunct Star 108. They gave that frequency to our friends at WMUS, About 25 years or so prior to that I got my start in professional radio for an AM/FM combo which no longer exists either. (Man I must be old) Anyway, I'm back again and ready to deliver you a steady dose of your favorite rock-n-roll along with some information you can use and maybe even a grin or two. Take care and thanks for listening!
Wal-Mart officials in Spruce Grove, Canada, might be feeling like a bunch of boobs after turning down a man's request to print a photo of his wife breastfeeding. What was intended as a heartfelt gift to wife Kayla Andre for Mother's Day was viewed by store staffers as a violation of a policy against nudity, even though the nursing mommy was fully clothed, except for one obvious area. Andre's husband used Facebook to sound off, and when Wal-Mart got wind of it, Kayla got an apology from the store's Canadian head office and canceled her plans for a breastfeed-in protest at the location. "I'm actually really, really pleased," Andre said. "Lots of people were saying, 'You can’t do anything, it's Wal-Mart. Nothing's going to change.'" It did. Breastfeeding photos are now acceptable at Canadian Wal-Marts.
