You may not be aware, but this is my third go-round at Muskegon Radio. A couple years back, I was the morning show host for the now defunct Star 108. They gave that frequency to our friends at WMUS, About 25 years or so prior to that I got my start in professional radio for an AM/FM combo which no longer exists either. (Man I must be old) Anyway, I'm back again and ready to deliver you a steady dose of your favorite rock-n-roll along with some information you can use and maybe even a grin or two. Take care and thanks for listening!
Buckeye State residents ought to pronounce Ohio's nickname very carefully, because it could be ranking them higher on the list of the biggest cussers in the country. According to research conducted by Marchex, Ohio leads the nation in nonstop swearing — inhabitants drop bombs of various letters every 150 words. On the other end of the profanity spectrum are Washington residents, whose pristine vernacular only reveals a swear every 300 words. The study also showed that men curse more than women and swearing occurs more often in the afternoon and evening or when phone calls last more than 10 minutes. #@*% those long phone calls!
