You may not be aware, but this is my third go-round at Muskegon Radio. A couple years back, I was the morning show host for the now defunct Star 108. They gave that frequency to our friends at WMUS, About 25 years or so prior to that I got my start in professional radio for an AM/FM combo which no longer exists either. (Man I must be old) Anyway, I'm back again and ready to deliver you a steady dose of your favorite rock-n-roll along with some information you can use and maybe even a grin or two. Take care and thanks for listening!
There may be many things Joe Francis is sorry for, but now we know one of them for certain. The "Girls Gone Wild" kingpin issued a 259-word statement today explaining his sorrow for calling "retarded" the jury that convicted him for holding three women prisoner at his Bel-Air, Calif., mansion, and saying the jurors "should all be lined up and shot." He had also opined, in comments quoted in the May 22 Hollywood Reporter, that "only the stupidest of the stupidest people end up on juries, you know?" As opposed to the smartest of the smartest people that imprison women? Francis, who is slated for sentencing July 9, claims he's innocent. He now says his "comments are appalling, but anyone who has ever been wrongfully convicted of a crime that they did NOT commit would be as frustrated as I am."
