How do you know a country has too much money?
When it's wealthy residents keep lions as pets instead of cats and dogs.
That's the case in Kuwait, the oil rich nation which boasts many, multi millionaires, some of whom own lions and other wild game as pets. It's a status symbol there, but none the less, still illegal.
So, when one rich guys lion escaped its captivity and started roaming the streets, people became alarmed, even scared. All except for one guy, identified only as a passerby who managed to lure the lion into his own vehicle, where he sat with him. The lion, perhaps feeling too confined in the back seat of the auto started to act agitated. The passerby then left the vehicle and contacted authorities who then "took the lion into custody".
Police are still seeking out the lion's owner so they can charge him with illegal ownership of wildlife.
High class problems huh?
