The Rock 101.7 "Bad Parent of the Week" award goes to an American mother who was travelling with her 5 month old infant from London to Spain where she was to deliver the baby to it's father in the southeast part of the country.
An airport security worker said in a televised statement that the mother had placed the infant on an oversized luggage carousel. Evidently the carousel started up with the baby on it. The idiot mother either wasn't paying attention or didn't have time to retrieve the child before it was whisked away on the baggage carousel.
Once they did stop the luggage mover however, the baby was dead. Spanish officials are investigating the case, obviously. What we want to know though is what in the world would posses a parent to place a 5 month old infant on a moving luggage carousel at an airport? Do they not teach that in parenting 101 class?
Since this happened abroad, we may never know the mother's fate, although some people would argue it should be the same as her baby child.
