Bakery let 13K boxes of Girl Scout cookies be monstrously destroyed

Rage and widespread indignation have broken out over the video footage of a tractor smashing 1,100 cases of Girl Scout cookies before they’d be sent to a landfill. Perfectly delicious, unexpired Girl Scout cookies. The range of reactions has gone from “Surely you could have donated those!” to “I could have eaten those.” It was the choice of ABC Bakery to trash the 1 percent of unsold cookies returned by the Girl Scouts, rather than buy them back and donate them to a charity, so 13,200 boxes of cookies and their marginal nutrition are now gone from the world forever. It is unknown how many were Thin Mints.
