When:
February 7th 2012
10:00am - 11:30am
Additional Details:

On January 23rd, many Asian cultures will welcome the beginning of the ‘year of dragon’ on the lunar calendar. In each of the cultures that celebrate this event, there are many rich traditions that surround the start of the New Year. This course will take a look at some of these customs. We will also look at how these traditions are practiced by those who hold the Catholic faith. In particular, we will look at the tradition of venerating the ancestors, an ancient practice that is still held by Asian Catholics today. At the end of this course, we will partake of this celebration together and experience the age old ritual.

Lunar New Year Celebrations, presented by Jimmy Hsu, CSP, will be Tuesday, February 7th from 10:00am til 11:30am OR Wednesday, February 8th, 7:00pm til 8:45pm.
